gigi's gogos

free jazz parts meet rock riffs, which are displaced by brute noise parts, static bass grooves fancy jazzy brass chords. african rhythms merge with oriental melodies.
gigi's gogos is a 13-man orchestra consisting of musicians from most various scenes and styles like jazz, classical, improvisation, noiserock, pop-rock and reggae. end of december 2006 the band formed around le chef d'orchestre -gigi gratt (tumido, nirwakia)- and performed a unique show at "alter schl8hof" wels.
gratt : "when i received an invitation from "schl8hof" wels to also present the project there, gave us the chance to record a live cd. end of december we spent three days together with two sound engineers at "alter schl8hof" and recorded two versions of the songs and the live act."
the cd includes two vcd-videos cut from the material of the fulminant concerts at "ottensheim open air 2006" and "alter schl8thof" wels.
